Set in the beautiful Purbeck hills, the cookery school is ideally located for those wishing to combine culinary instruction with a relaxing break in Dorset. Local wild mushrooms are looking good right now. We found some cauliflower fungus, bay boletes & saffron milk caps just yesterday. Breakfast this morning was sauteed mushrooms on toast - delicious! Just remember, do not pick or eat anything you are unable to identify 100%. Join a foray with the Dorset Fungus Group, book on to a Mad About Mushrooms day, or just swing by the cookery school for Giuseppe to identify. Our Autumn/Winter timetable is now available to view, so book early to secure a place on our Mad About Mushrooms or exciting new 3 Day Game Course. If you are unable to find a date to suit you, just call & we will see if we can add another date.
And not forgetting, you can stock up on semolina flour (winner of 2 Gold Stars at the 2010 Great Taste Awards, nero d'avola jelly (delicious with a late summer raspberry salad) & more at www.verutrulysicilian.com Local stockists & recipe ideas to view too - new stockists include: Olives et al, Poundbury & Sturminster Newton & The Lime Tree, Thames Ditton.
