The quaint little villages of the Purbecks offer history at every turn. If you fancy something a little more energetic there are plenty of footpaths to wander and places to cycle.
There are beautiful beaches around Dorset, and the Jurassic Coast will entertain you for hours finding those hidden fossils in the rocks.

Pubs are a plenty in the area giving you the opportunity to sample local real ales and locally produced delicacies.

I had the most amazing experience at the Olive Tree Cookery School and learnt so much in just one days Sea Food Class.
Even how to squeeze the very last bit of lobster meat from the smallest legs.
